We examine every area of the operation
for compliance with the Federal Motor
Carrier Safety Regulations including:
The reviews are conducted using DOT’s audit process outlined in their field enforcement manual. DOT provides this manual to its own investigators as a “road–map” of what records to select. By using it, we take the mystery out of predicating which drivers and vehicles would likely be scrutinized during a genuine DOT audit.
As a result of the review we’ll tell you
We conduct our audits using Capri, the same software used by DOT safety investigators. With the exception of disclaimer language, the reports are identical to ones you would receive during a DOT audit.
We also determine the likely fines that would be assessed using Uniform Fine Assessment (UFA), the same software used by DOT investigators to assess fines at the conclusion of an audit.
Over the past several years TransForce Services Group (TSG) has helped us continuously improve our safety and compliance efforts and be better prepared for a DOT audit. When DOT recently appeared at our facilities to review our operations they found that we had all of our systems and records in order, thanks largely to TSG. As a result, we received a Satisfactory safety rating - the highest rating a company can receive.

TSG’s knowledge of the regulations and ongoing guidance have been invaluable to us. They have assisted us in managing complex regulatory requirements and developing stronger safety management controls. In addition, they have helped us maintain a top-notch safety program, navigate through a DOT audit, and - as a result - retain our satisfactory safety rating. In my view, their services would be an asset to any fleet.
