The Challenge
With 40 locations across the United States, Lindenmeyr Munroe typically transports its products via their private fleet and advanced warehouse and technical tools. However, as their business continued to expand with new opportunities, they quickly realized that they needed a solution to ramp up their driver staffing. They also never wanted to be caught scrambling to find a driver when they faced an unexpected empty seat due to vacation, illness, or scheduling issues.
Lindenmeyr Munroe was looking for a proven partner to assist with hiring of drivers, but knew they did not want a staffing agency that treated drivers as just another commodity. As a fifth- generation family owned and operated company, the paper industry giant takes pride in family, and it was TransForce’s emphasis on building personal connections with its customers that made it stand out as a potential partner.
The Solution
Lindenmeyr Munroe needed the flexibility and agility to place drivers quickly, but they also required the ability to transition qualified employees to their own staff if they made a good long-term fit. Fortunately, TransForce’s Driver Ready program fit the bill to achieve both goals.
TransForce’s Driver Ready program allowed Lindenmeyr Munroe to quickly place flex drivers for short-term positions as well as dedicated drivers for consistent runs. The company was able to scale up their work with a large client, going from 8 drivers to 12 during peak holiday season, and averaging 50 loads a week without ever missing a delivery. With Driver Direct, Lindenmeyr Munroe could also bring these drivers on as full-time W2 employees without straining their internal resources.

Results and Future Plans
Since partnering with TransForce in 2021, Lindenmeyr Munroe has placed over 15 flex and dedicated drivers, and has plans to continue partnering with the company for their future driver staffing needs. “TransForce is on the path to be an amazing partner. We have already found so much value, and we haven’t even tapped into all of their available services yet,” said Matt Mascia, Director of Transportation.
Lindenmeyr Munroe will soon be leveraging TransForce’s Troops Into Transportation program in select markets to put military veterans to work. The military instills many great qualities like safety, loyalty, and team spirit, making them excellent CDL drivers and a great fit for the company’s dedicated team.
With retirements forecasted on the horizon over the next 12 to 24 months, Lindenmeyr Munroe is realizing they need to tap into a new pool of drivers to fill the impending gaps.
